This book has impacted my life more than any other. The words 'in patience possess your soul" is now a doable practice to me rather than just a scripture verse. Temperance has always been uncharted territory for me, but because I now know how to possess my soul I am taking ground that seemed impossible. Being strengthened with all might in the inner man is now a territory I am taking because I understand the nature of my inner man. The operations of my soul, my spirit and my body have been put into perspective and I know how to use my will to ruthlessly and cold-bloodly execute the will of God in the earth. I now understand the work of the Holy Spirit in my inner man and the role of my human spirit in governing my soul. All believers should read this book as it is a fundamental and foundational text that gives context to your life in the spirit.

The experience of this book is like a light going on and the threads of a mighty muddle being separated to see clearly. It could just be essential reading for any disciple of Jesus aiming to do some overcoming in this world! For me it's definitely been a game changer.

It helps one to understand the difference between each part of our being and sets a great foundation to build on. The truths also point us to an understanding of how we are designed and how we can function when we recognize that design. I also use this when I am mentoring to lay good ground to build on. As Graham says in the book..." if we learn to submit our outer man to our inner man, nothing from the outside world will be able to shake who we are in Christ".
